Our Mission
The Northern Virginia Dementia Support & Workplace Alliance exists to bridge the gap between the growing reality of dementia caregiving and the modern workplace. As the number of employees serving as family caregivers continues to rise, organizations need practical, evidence-informed tools to respond effectively.
Our training is intentionally framed as leadership tools — not compliance requirements. We help employers build the awareness and capacity to support caregiver employees while protecting business productivity and morale.

"Equipping organizations with practical, workplace-relevant knowledge that helps employers support employees navigating dementia caregiving responsibilities."
Training Focus Areas
Foundational knowledge about dementia progression, caregiver responsibilities, and the invisible burdens employees may carry outside of work.
Practical understanding of how caregiving responsibilities manifest in workplace performance patterns, attendance, and employee engagement.
Actionable tools organizations can implement immediately — without financial or administrative burden — to support retention and morale.
Our Approach
Our training is intentionally framed around what leaders can do — not what they must avoid. Every session is designed to strengthen leadership capacity and build organizational resilience, not create compliance anxiety.
Sessions are interactive, scenario-based, and grounded in real-world workplace application. Participants leave with actionable strategies they can implement immediately.
